The CREATE project is coming to an end: on November, 30th 2022, it will officially close the activities.

CREATE is a SESAR JU project aimed to validate proposed ATM operational changes in order to reduce ATM environmental impact and improve ATM resilience with respect to weather.

To disseminate the scientific results achieved, a final project event was hosted at Villa Doria D’Angri in Naples, on September 13th, 2022.

SESAR JU opened the meeting and then the project was then briefly described by the coordinator.

The solutions founded by the project to reduce climate and environmental impact, to improve ATM procedures, by proposing ATM operational changes to improve efficiency of air traffic management and reduce related environmental impact for both en-route and TMA flight phases, while improving the ATM resilience with respect to weather phenomena were presented.

CREATE has always given a great attention to the ER4 projects funded under the same call and for that reason, invited the siblings project for the event. As such, a timeslot was dedicated to the ALARM project, invited to give a talk on its achievements and results.

Finally, a stakeholders round table has been organized, where representatives of airports, researchers studying environmental impacts and experts in ATM optimization actively participated to give their opinions and comments on the achieved results.

All the stakeholders converged on a point: CREATE is a very ambitious project that reached impressive results that hopefully can be better exploited in the future.

CREATE consortium thanks all the participants that contributed to validate its results.
